Indiana University Police Department

Since 1972, the Indiana University Cadet Officer Program has allowed full-time Indiana University students from all Indiana University campuses to work in the criminal justice system and in a law enforcement agency while pursuing their academic degree. The Indiana University Cadet Officer Program and Indiana University Police Academy provide comprehensive and unique law enforcement training, which, coupled with the university’s educational programs, produce a highly qualified, experienced and educated law enforcement professional. The Indiana University Police Academy is a certified Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board satellite academy of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Graduates of the Indiana University Police Academy receive accreditation as a certified law enforcement officer in Indiana with full police authority.

 

Graduates of the Indiana University Cadet Officer Program will enter the employment field with the enviable position of having a college degree, academy certification and actual work experience in law enforcement. Our graduates are highly sought after by local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
